Duofor DTS sound insulation can bear the load.

Because of the notches at the bottom side of the dovetailed sheet floor the damping material is not equally stressed. The material has to be strong enough to endure this pressure. On the other hand the material has to be soft enough to dampen the movements of the relatively light floor construction.
It appeared that materials used in the past, like rock wool, were not resistant against the pressure of the notches resulting in decreasing sound insulating performance and loss of thickness due to settling.
To solve this Duofor introduced DTS which keeps its volume under pressure and still is soft enough to absorb sound vibrations.
On top of that Duofor DTS provides a stable basis for the applied dovetailed sheets. This is in the advantage of the fitter, who will experience a more stable working space during application. As a result it will be easier to make an absolutely crackles sound insulating floor.
